Girola is the name of a bank of the Tenna river on the outskirts of Fermo, a cultured and noble city set among the splendid hills of Marche. In this fascinating place, the industriousness and enhancement of natural resources have always been the pride of local communities, where human ingenuity has made it possible to exploit the fertile river banks by using water energy to generate mechanical strength through a dense network of canalizations that have fed mechanical mills (the historic Molini Girola), the beating heart of leather, paper and silk processing, since the Renaissance.

Girola box factory continues to maintain an innate respect for the local ecosystem, integrating a family estate with over 2500 Paulownia trees for the production of renewable and low environmental impact fuels to a business model on a human scale.
